Dr. Sampreeti Malladi
Associate Architect (Research)
Sampreeti is an Architect, avid teacher, and dancer, who brings in a deeper understanding of traditional architecture texts and process-driven research into studio verge. Her doctoral work explored the meaning and implications of space on the performer and the viewer in the experience of creative production. This called for a deeper study of the design of architectural space based on ancient treaties and contemporary requirements. She has in parallel worked on architecture and interior design projects in corporate, hospitality, and residential sectors with hands-on design & execution know-how. Her professional journey of 18+ years also enriched her with experiences in content writing, and graphic and product design.
Sampreeti pushes the design team to reflect on gaps between academia and the fast-paced world of construction adding quality thought and more considered responses to problem-solving at different scales. Studio verge under her guidance is looking at environmental, psychological, and climatic research as a congruent dimension of the practice.
